Lisbeth Lennartsson is mayor of Borgholm www.borgholm.se and chairperson of the Oland Federation of Local Authorities since 2002.
Demographic issues are very important to Lisbeth Lennartsson and have thus been prioritised on her political agenda over the past years. During her time as Mayor, she has worked actively to make the township of Borgholm a welcoming, open and creative community that greets new people.
Mayor Lennartsson has a background as an entrepreneur in the tourist business, as well as a broad education in leadership, business economics and management, health care and psychology.
Lisbeth Lennartsson represents the Centre Party. For several years she has played an active role as Vice Chairperson in the federation of the largest political women's organisation , the Centre Women.As part of her responsibilities in the organisation, she lead work to develop their international policy, she actively encouraged diversity and integration , as wall as rural development.
Lisbeth Lennartsson became one of the candidtates in her party to win the most votes in Sweden during the local government elections in 2006. Because of this , she has, among other things, contributed, as one of ten authors , to the book "Successful Politicans", published by "Kommunlitteratur" www.kommunlitteratur.se in 2007.
